  • KenLab KS6 Gyro Stabilisers

Ken-Lab Gyroscope for super stable shots in windy conditions or for use with long lenses.

Gyroscopes are a way of adding extra stability to a steadicam system which normally relies on it’s ability to balance and float to achieve smooth and stable shots.
Sometimes there may be a need for extra stability such as operation in strong winds from vehicle rigs, when longer focal length lenses are used, or simply when there is a need to kill the steadicam effect and go for a more dolly-like feel.
The Gyroscopic effect works when the Gyro spins up to a speed and creates a force that will resist a counterposing force such as a wind effect. In this way the Gyros make the steadicam more inert and less lively to operate, which can result in a more stable shot.
We rent Gyro systems that are based on the PRO™ system. One or two Gyros attach to a specifically designed brackets that attach to the sled. The Gyro system can be fitted to Tiffen Steadicam and adapted for other rigs.

  • KenLab KS4 Gyro Stabilisers

Based on the KenLab KS6 but smaller for use with lighter rigs.
